The Internetz - Piriform.com and ImgDmp.net
ImgDmp.Net
The easiest way to share images This image dump site was created by one of our very own. We were sick of those other image dump sites that like to make it complicated, sign up for membership or swamp you with ads. Once you upload an image, it gives you a shortlink or code to implement on to you site\forum.
Example: Tf2 Logo
Piriform.com
Piriform gives Windows users the 4 best pieces of software out there! I could ramble about these guys all day long, but I'm not going too.
If you are after something that can clean your pc the easy way without all the hassle, you want CCleaner. If you are after the fast way to recover deleted files, check out Recuva. If you are after the reliable, efficient and user-friendly way to Defrag your pc, download Defraggler. If you are after specification on your PC without having to pull apart your case, or download multiple programs I highly recommend Speccy.
Make sure to donate to them as they work hard to bring you these programs.

The Internetz - FileHippo.com and Engadget.com
It's hard to find practical sites on the internet, so when we find them, you will find them, as we will be sharing these sites as we come along them.
FileHippo.com
The most user friendly program site on the internet. The site is fantastic, not only does it have the latest updates and programs, you can also download and run there Update Checker, which searches your PC for currently installed programs and checks against there definition database for updates. They have saved me hours of time from looking for updates from the various programs websites for myself, friends, family or work colleagues. Thank you so much and keep up the great work.
Engadget.com
The #1 online web magazine that covers the daily world of gizmos and gadgets. It is the most useful and straight forward technology site out there, they aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and say it how it is, grats and keep it coming guys.

New TF2 map: ctf_toofort.
One of our guys here at DBS (cerb on steam) has created an absolutely awesome mod for the TF2 map ctf_2fort, and has called it ctf_toofort.
This map has a whole bunch of great extra features from the original, such as:
- The roofs of the buildings are now accessible, including the roof of the bridge.
- The sewers have an extra route to the intel rooms.
- Additional health/metal in a few handy spots to make heading back to the spawn rooms less necessary when running low on health/ammo.

Music On Hold
It's really hard to find some decent hold music that's available for commercial use.
Recently when we were upgrading our ancient digital PBX to an Asterisk IP based PBX for DBS, one of the hardest tasks that we had was not technical in nature.
Most of the technical issues that we had were surmountable by searching Google and asking questions on IRC channels. Something that us IT guys are really good at doing is working out how to get around technical problems.
But this was about music on hold. You know when you ring up a place and you get put into a queue or get put on hold while you get transferred. Well that music has to be either royalty free, or you have to pay royalties for it.
In our case, we just wanted some really simple, decent sounding hold music that was freely available and usable for commercial purposes. Oh and please, please, please: not classical. I have nothing against classical music per se, but everyone who rings up and hears classical music just knows that you grabbed some random free music online and didn't bother with any further effort.
This being the case, and after a few hours searching the interwebs for other music, I decided to give Garage Band a go. It's been sitting installed on various different Macs I've owned for the past several years and apart from the few times I've started it up and jabbed a few buttons with my mouse, I haven't really ever 'used' it.
Now I'm no muso, but using the Magic Garage Band feature in the newer versions of the software is really easy. It allows you to select a genre of music, assign the different instruments you want to use and at the end you have a piece of decent music that you can use for your on hold music, completely royalty free.
For those who don't have Garage Band, or can't be bothered tinkering around, I'm making my created music available for you to use royalty free under a BY-SA Creative Commons license.
However if you do own a Mac and have Garage Band installed, you should totally make your own hold music! It's reality-alteringly simple and you're gonna get some really decent original music out the other side. Give it a go!
